Back in Mar 2020, during my last visit to SMA, began leading a virtual Socrates Cafe meeting on Zoom. Each Wed from 10-12pm local time, we introduce a new topic for discussion and the group in turn offers their perspective and comments. Respect and civil discourse are key components of our discussions. People attending average between 70-90 yrs young. Group composed mostly of retired professionals from US, Canada and Europe. Group continues going strong after 3 years of weekly meetings. Meetings are recorded if not able to attend live.

Since I’m back to SMA for the month of March, thought I’d put out invite to anyone interested. Topics for this month are:

March 8th “After fake news, deep fakes are coming, how are we handling those leaps in video technology? What will happen to our sense of reality? (Tiana)
March 15th: “ What are the different meanings of love?”
March 22nd: “What is the importance of tradition in people's lives and society in general? Can they have negative impacts?” (Theresa)
March 29th: “How has interpersonal discord, e.g., family, friends, fellow workers, etc., affected your life, was it resolved and what, if any, life lessons did it teach you." (Jeff)
