A part of the Cervantino arrives in San Miguel de Allende to the rhythm of Cuba and Africa
A bit of @cervantino comes to #SanMigueldeAllende to the rhythm of Cuba, Africa and Peru.

Everything is ready to begin the 47th edition of the Cervantino International Festival in the state of Guanajuato that takes place from October 9 to 27. And next to the Feast of the Spirit some events will arrive in San Miguel de Allende with shows and musical presentations for you to go

The Blanche Lady is the project of the Cuban singer, flutist and percussionist Yaite Ramos, who is heiress of the oratories of the Afro-Cuban rumba, which will be presented on October 24 at the Old Plaza de Armas, about 7 o'clock the night.

Art Exhibition of the Work of Rafael Coronel ...to Mid Dec
For three months in San Miguel de Allende the work of Rafael Coronel will be exhibited.

Lourdes Sosa, the director of the gallery of the same name and in charge of the work, said there are 29 works that will be exhibited in the halls of the Tourist Council / Office of Tourism across from the Parroquia. Enter the exhibition through the Office of Tourism.

He said that there are unpublished works, which he did at the end of his life in this May of 2019, so a group of oil works, drawings, bronzes from the ages of 70, 80, 90 and more are presented.

King Tut Comes to GTO Sep 25 - Mar 29
The exhibit “Tutankhamen, the tomb, The gold and the curse” has traveled around Mexico and the US and now it’s coming to the state of Guanajuato!

Starting September 26th, come see what has wowed and amazed people for decades. While there’ll be no mummies, on display will be 200 replicas of some of the 3500 artifacts uncovered in 1922 in Egypt. These include 3000 year-old funeral masks, embalming tools, jewelry and more.

In the 1930s, Pedro Linares invented both the term “alebrije,” which came to him in a dream, and the fanciful monsters that this word describes.

Many Linares family members still create the colorful, captivating paper maché sculptures, superb examples of high quality Mexican folk art. The gallery will feature them for Day of the Dead.

The Linares family will be at Galería Atotonilco between 1:00 and 3:00 pm each day during this Open House if you would like to meet them!

The Infrastructure and Public Works Department continues with pothole work in some areas of the municipality, so partial street closures will be carried out.

Traffic Light Project
