Volunteer to Save Local Native Trees with Audubon

    Help our native trees live long and healthy lives and allow them to continue providing important ecological benefits.

    Volunteer with Audubon for a great morning outdoors, removing Paxtle (Ball moss) and parasitic mistletoe from our native trees at Parque Landeta, within the natural protected area that includes El Charco del Ingenio.

    This is an activity for all ages (children 12 and up) and all abilities. You can choose to work with your feet on the ground, removing Paxtle from lower branches, or work higher up on the trees using a ladder.

    Gloves, tools and leather sleeves are provided, although we can always use extra pruners and ladders of all sizes. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long-sleeved shirt, and a hat. Bring water and a snack if you would like.

    Invite your friends, family and neighbors to join you for this valuable and rewarding experience.
