    7:00 p.m. Concert

At the home of Mayer Shacter and Susan Page

    $25 usd

Folk singer and folk song archivist Paul Ramshaw has been gathering folk songs he loves since the 1960s. He has performed at churches, coffee houses, and people’s homes for five decades to adoring audiences. Most recently he performed and led group singing every Saturday morning with homeless women. He is a retired appellate lawyer, specializing in employment discrimination law.

In this concert, since it is a literary event, he will include many songs by the award-winning lyricist Fred Small. Hailed by Pete Seeger as “one of America’s best songwriters,” Fred Small writes music that inspires, empowers, and entertains. “Simple majesty in songwriting . . . Literate, insightful, witty, level-headed. Fred Small is one of the most engaging songwriters of this day.” The Boston Globe.
