YOU’RE INVITED to Democrats Abroad SMA’s non-Zoom, in-person, outdoor, socially-distanced mingle, chat and coffee mixer. We had a great turn out of 30+ people last month, a few doggies included, and it was a fabulous, maskless (if vaccinated) good time! We will be meeting at Geek & Coffee on the 3rd Thursday of each month

He Said, She Said: Anna Knutson Geller vs. April Eberhardt June 19.
The origins of debate can be traced back as far as the Ancient Greeks. Socrates used the Socratic method to try and better understand the world around him. The San Miguel Literary Sala will continue this tradition with a lively discussion between two of our faculty members each month.

    4 pm.
He Said, She Said: Anna Knutson Geller vs. April Eberhardt June 19.

Distinguished Speaker Series: Hallie Ephron and April Eberhardt June 20.
When you meet Hallie Ephron, you will understand why she is a popular speaker, as well as a widely read author of suspenseful novels. Several of her eleven mysteries have been NYTimes bestsellers and her novel, Never Tell a Lie, was made into a movie for the Lifetime Movie Network. Hallie will be in conversation with April Eberhardt, a much beloved literary agent who has been part of the San Miguel Writers’ Conference for many years.

Distinguished Speaker Series: Hallie Ephron and April Eberhardt June 20.

+ The Historical Walking Tours from Patronato Pro Niños are just a Click Away!
As we all know, the pandemic put an abrupt stop to our Top Rated Historical Walking Tours. These Tours are a celebrated win/win: the economically disadvantaged children of San Miguel received medical & dental services, and visitors (and residents) of San Miguel had a wonderful overview of our fabulous city and its rich cultural and historical heritage.

We restarted the Tours, as soon as we were safely able to, strictly on a private basis: these Tours are an important part of Patronato’s annual revenue stream, and the need for funding does not just go away because there is a crisis.
