    Besides having lunch at Nirvana, you can visit Galería Atotonilco, which has one of the best collections of Mexican folk art in the entire country. Due to the pandemic, call ahead to make sure they will be open for your visit.

    Of course, Atotonilco is best known for its church that is covered in paintings and filled with sculptures and displays depicting several biblical stories. It is also the place from which Father Hidalgo took up the Banner of Guadalupe to rally support at the outset of Mexico’s war for independence. ...
