    Hilton’s Mexico growth plans include two new properties in San Miguel
    Hilton is on track to open its 100th hotel in Mexico by 2022. With several new deals announced this year and others in the works, Hilton plans to open approximately 10 hotels per year over the next three years, adding 30 new properties and more than 4,500 rooms to its existing portfolio of nearly 70 hotels in Mexico.

    Nearly One in Five Americans Get Scammed Booking Travel Online
    Approximately one in five Americans have been scammed or nearly scammed when booking a vacation online, according to a new survey by virus software giant McAfee.

    In a survey of 1,000 adults conducted this May, 18% said that they had or almost had fallen prey to vacation travel scams, and some 30% of travel-related scam victims reported they lost between $1,000 and $3,000.

    Celaya: Extortion and Organized Crime

    Deserted streets, businesses ruined to close as a result of extortion by organized crime, the cold indifference of the government, citizens who live in fear of not returning home alive, is the environment that is lived in the municipality of Celaya, a place that has been suffering from high rates of insecurity for decades, but never with the violent hue of the last days.

    Unfortunately Celaya, a city that for a long time was synonymous with progress thanks to the industry, today has become one of the many cities in Mexico that is the victim of organized crime that has been responsible for sowing panic among citizens.
    Overcoming pain and fear, Celayans organize themselves in rejection of violence and abandonment of authority (sp).
