    We are privileged to have Wade Nomura speak to us this coming week. Wade joined Rotary with his wife Roxanne, in 2002 and has been on 34 international projects missions for Rotary, including a polio mission to India, where he has a special passion, having had polio as a child. Wade served as Rotary District Governor in 2011-2012, and was the first Japanese American governor in that district’s 89 year history.

    Wade is a Rotary International Leadership instructor, Rotary Foundation Technical Advisor for Water and Sanitation, and Community and Economic Development projects in English and Spanish speaking countries, has served as a Representative for Rotary International Presidents, the 2014 Rotary Rose Parade Float Committee Chair, delegate to the 2016 Rotary international Council on Legislation, and on the 2016 Rotary International Peace Conference Steering Committee. Wade has spoken in districts in the United States, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Chile, Honduras, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, England, India, Korea, Thailand, Japan, and Canada on behalf of Rotary.

    Wade is the recipient of the Rotary International “Service Above Self” Award for volunteer service in Rotary and beyond, and the Rotary Foundations “Citation for Meritorious Service” for his work on behalf of the Rotary Foundation.
